Green D.I.Y. Energy

Why pay thousands of dollars for solar energy ($27,000 average cost) when you can build your own solar panel system for just a fraction of the retail cost? You can build a single solar panel, or you can build an entire array of panels to power your whole house.  Read More!

With the economic crisis on the rise, how can a renewable energy company survive the harsh global market? There are more than just three ways on how a sustainable energy business can thrive under the world’s current situation. But for now we will be limiting ourselves to the best tips there is. It is best that a clean  energy company remain optimistic and make this economic crisis into an opportunity.

Renewable energy solutions are a great alternative for a more cost efficient living. Soaring demands for energy as well as its prizes made consumers more aware of how they use available electricity. This is where a clean energy company should grasp the opportunity. By marketing what sustainable energy could do to help people conserve. For example, cut down future expenses by installing solar panels that will help warm down water for immediate consumption. Innovate something fresh that will catch the attention of environment conscious consumers. For example, other clean energy company decided to showcase their best innovation by coming up with their very own specialized product. It could be a solar powered vehicle or better yet, a solar power home appliance that can really cut down the cost!

Going green is the best way to be. Persuade consumers that green is in! Renewable energy marketing must convince people of all ages to join the campaign. Media exposure is a must to constantly attract consumers and investors alike to join the campaign. To ease up the pressure, join the flow for low carbon footprint. People wants to see a more concrete and realistic approach to this global financial crisis. While green energy marketing sells the company as environmental friendly it is better to develop the company towards it. A low carbon emitting head quarter and eco friendly office supply may help ease the pressure on the part of the company. With a little help from the media the company can promote how much they cut costs with the help of clean energy solutions that the company came up with. A company that runs in solidarity in achieving its goal is one of the best things that you could offer to the people.

Business is not all business. Contributing to Mother Nature and sustaining future is very important. The essence of it all lies in the beauty of preserving the ecology and help build a better tomorrow. A sustainable energy company should be able to market the wonders of nature and why it should be preserved. Social awareness is as important as making profit for the company. Giving a little something back to nature might rake in the blessings someday.

Remember that renewable energy is the future of energy consumption. Production of clean electricity is what sets you apart from other energy producing companies. Competing in global market does not mean to lower standards to increase efficiency. Quality and to offer the best services as a company should be top priority to meet consumer expectations.

Carbon offsetting is a not only a practical method to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere but it is also a core approach to raising our society’s awareness and reducing our impact on the environment. The time when Global warming has become one of the world’s most pressing concerns, it’s only natural that you’ll want to limit the impact of your carbon footprints to save the environment. Carbon offsetting is a stop-gap to at least begin to move us towards neutralizing the greenhouse gases we are creating.

Our carbon footprints are the measures by which we can know that how badly we have affected our environment by using natural resources to cater our daily needs. We know fossil fuels like crude oil, coal and natural gas, being made up of hydrocarbons release carbon dioxide when burned and this is the carbon dioxide which is the prime accused of global warming along with some other similar gases which are also a cause of human activities and industrialization. The carbon dioxide which is released to the atmosphere remains there for 100 to 200 years. This leads to an increasing concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere, which in turn causes the average temperature on Earth to rise.

Every human daily activity could be blamed for an increase in the percentage of carbon in the atmosphere but industrialization has worsened the situation. Probably Businesses are the biggest contributors to Global warming for the fact that they emerged more carbon dioxide gas in the environment. Every business causes a direct impact on the environment by using enormous amount of energy to run its office and maintain its staff needs.

For every human being the best way to reduce his/her carbon footprint is to change his/her lifestyle but as far as businesses are concerned, there is need of some effective measures to imply to reduce their carbon footprints. Carbon offsetting is best way to compensate business carbon footprints. Business carbon offsets let you pay to reduce the global GHG (greenhouse gas) total instead of making radical or impossible reductions of your own. Investing in energy efficient projects is a must for every business that has a care for its employees as corporate carbon management is an innovative practice which is not only beneficial for the businesses applying them but also for their customers, business partners and on a whole for everyone.

When it comes to global warming, every little counts and a small step taken today can safe our planet for the generations to come. If you have already made changes to your lifestyle, you might need to go a little further to offset your carbon emissions and purchasing a carbon offset is a great way to achieve a carbon neutral status to let the world know that you care. If you are running a business, you have a responsibility to keep any pollution that may result from your business activities under control.

Global warming is more than a hot-button issue these days as the quality of our air continues to decrease. As carbon dioxide (CO2) is a normal part of the air, but it’s also one of the major greenhouse gases. At normal levels, CO2 traps some heat in the earth’s atmosphere and lets some escape. (This process is known as the greenhouse effect.) But high levels of CO2 and other greenhouse gases trap too much heat in the earth’s atmosphere, causing global warming. Scientific investigations over many decades point to human activity as the primary cause of global warming because humans need energy for just about any type of function they perform. Burning fossil fuels as a natural energy resource leads to the emission of vast quantities of carbon dioxide gas (CO2), which is considered a major cause of global warming.

As we all are responsible for global warming and each of us contributes to climate change with our daily activities; businesses cause more carbon footprints by using a great deal of energy. Total amount of greenhouse gases produced to support a business, includes those caused by direct and indirect emissions. Direct emissions are emissions from sources that a company owns or controls such as vehicle fleets or natural-gas fired boilers. Indirect emissions are a consequence of actions at a business, but occur at sources owned or operated by another company such as emissions associated with electricity, heat and/or steam use. The challenge of dealing with the impact of carbon emissions is an area that has been long overlooked by the global community.

Because businesses play an important role in climate change, they should be aware about their carbon footprints.  A starting point for addressing the carbon footprint of business operations is to assess current carbon emissions. It is important to measure your business’s carbon footprint because if you cannot measure it, you cannot change it!  By reducing your company’s consumption of electricity, fuel and resources like paper; you can reduce your greenhouse gas emissions. Another option to address the carbon footprint of business operations without making any of the changes your resources is to purchase carbon offset credits. These credits are an investment in environmentally friendly projects, such as tree planting projects, and are a form of compensation to the environment for the harm caused by business operations.

Reducing emissions can benefit your business in many ways, including reducing costs, boosting your market positioning and branding, and improving efficiency and competitiveness. Your efforts to reduce your organization’s carbon emissions will also demonstrate a real commitment to environmental responsibility. Business has the power to change the world – and you have the power to change business. As an employer it’s your responsibility to estimate Carbon Footprint of your business to reduce CO2 emissions and ensure healthy future for your employees and coming generations. You should take your step towards carbon offsetting as quickly as possible to avert the most damage.Business carbon offsets gives you the power to reduce your carbon emissions by making your business “carbon neutral”.
