Grid Tie Renewable Energy Setup

A common route to take when you decide to switch over to renewable energy is a “Grid-Tie” setup. What this means is your house is tied in with your renewable energy system and tied in to the power grid. The reason this is such a popular route to take is that it allows you to move to renewable energy as you can afford it.

The beauty of a grid-tie system is that it can be configured two ways. The first way is to set up your system with solar panels and wind generators and hook them up to a battery bank. This battery bank is then hooked up to an inverter and powers some of the appliances in your home. This system costs more and is harder to install for several reasons. Firstly, you need to do some re-wiring of your home to integrate you renewable energy system. This requires a licensed electrician and can be a time consuming process. Secondly, you have to buy a battery bank to store the electricity that you generate.

The second setup which is more cost effective and easier in the long run is to simply wire your system directly into the power grid. What this means is that the electricity you produce is being fed through your meter. It’s really cool to watch it spin backwards. There are some things that you should know about this setup though. You will have to check local laws to see whether this type of system is allowed, and you will have to check with your energy company to see whether they will allow you to run this type of system. Lastly, you will need a licensed electrician to do the setup. This way has several advantages though. You don’t need to initially spend a huge amount of money to get up and running, and expanding simply means hooking another solar panel up. You also don’t have to do any re-wiring to your house.

As time goes on you can add solar panels faster because your electricity bill has gone down, and after it reaches $0 you can start buying batteries for the storage system.

For those of us who can’t afford to make the switch to off grid living all at once this is the way to go. It allows you to build your system one piece at a time as you can afford it. It may take you 2-5 years to get running completely on renewable energy, but it is definitely worth it.

The Importance of Renewable Energy Resources

The modern lifestyle depends tremendously on the use and existence of fossil fuels. With levels of these fuels constantly decreasing, we should act now to become less dependant on fossil fuels and more dependent on renewable energy sources.

The decreasing levels of fossil fuels isn’t the only reason why we should begin to use renewable energy. Pollution is becoming a huge problem in many countries around the world, especially the developing world. With carbon emissions at an all time high, air quality can be very low in some areas, this can lead to respiratory diseases and cancer.

The main reason to switch to cleaner energy production methods is the global warming aspect. The more carbon dioxide we pump into the atmosphere, the greater the effect becomes. We can’t just stop using fossil fuels thinking that global warming will go away, but we can slow down and dilute the effects of global warming through the wide spread use of renewable energy resources.

There are many natural energy sources out there, but you have to decide which method is best for you, as all of these sources depend on your current environment.

The installation of a solar panel or a wind turbine to boost every homes power supply would be an amazing step forward. Some governments are in the process of supplying solar panels to hundreds of households to test this method of energy saving.

A technology set to be very important in the future is geothermal energy. With geothermal energy, you are able to extract heat from within the earth and transform it either into a hot water system, or if there is plenty of this energy, a geothermal power plant. Huge amounts of money have been flowed into research of this method, especially in recent years, in order to make the current technology more effective.

So there we have the reasons why we should turn to renewable energy resources which are more than likely to play a very vital and important role in our future society.

Looking Forward to America’s Energy Future

Less than fifty years ago it would have been hard to imagine a home that was powered by the sun. It would have been even less possible to imagine a backpacker who used a slim and collapsible solar panel mounted to their backpack to power a GPS unit. Today, we are all ready at that point. We have been rapidly assessing the alternative energy sources that will eventually free us from the use of coal, nuclear, oil and gas energies and we have been implementing them in a staggering number of ways.

Among the most popular and well-developed of the alternative energies are those using the sun and those using wind. Solar technology has all ready allowed for the creation for entire power plants that use fields of collectors and concentrated beams of sunlight to produce enough electricity to power entire towns. We have also witnessed the creation of solar chargers that are installed in the same fashion as traditional roofing shingles and which can offer homeowners electrical services throughout the entire day and well into the night. This is all a far cry from the enormous roof-mounted panels of thirty years ago, which provided hot water and some electrical service.

There are also wind-based power plants utilizing enormous windmills or “turbines” and these exist in remote mountainous areas as well as in offshore locations.

Interestingly, many people in the United States have started to really assess what is now called the “carbon footprint”. This is a calculation based on the amount of non-renewable energy used by an individual in any given year. This includes their home electricity and heating as well as their automobile fuel consumption and a number of other “consumer” data. With this fairly accurate data, many consumers are working with alternative energy groups to purchase “carbon offsets”. These are funds donated directly to the groups working in the world of alternative energy. For example, a family of five will use all relevant data to figure their approximate carbon footprint in a single year. The carbon offset group assigns a dollar value to this amount, which the family may contribute in full or in part to the agency. They, in turn, pour the funds directly into the development of a wind farm or solar power plant. In this way, many consumers are able to cancel out their consumption while also contributing to the future renewable energy solutions.

Of course it doesn’t end with wind and sun. There are hydro (water based) technologies still to be explored and there are even alternative fuels already at work – including the Biofuels used in many modern cars and vehicles

Have you noticed your energy bill getting more and more expensive every month? I sure have. Sometimes I almost feel hopeless when it comes to paying my bills on time. My energy bill just keeps on getting more and more expensive each month! But you know what, I found a great way to cope with the rising costs of energy. I’ve created my own source of energy, and I’m willing to tell you how I did it in just 3 easy steps!

1) Researching Renewable Energy

The first thing that I did was research ways to create my own source of renewable energy. Just like you I was eager to learn about the possibilities of making my own energy and saving some money on my electric bill. What I found was that I had two options when it came to making my own renewable energy. I would either have to build a wind turbine or solar energy generator. Both of these energy sources have something in common. They are forms of green energy. This means that they are cheap, renewable, and clean.

I’m going to be honest with you. After discovering that I was going to have to make my own wind turbine or solar panel I was extremely intimidated. I thought to myself, “How in the world am I going to be able to make my own green energy source?”. And this led me to the second step…

2) Do You Have Directions?

Ok, so at this point I had come to realize that I was going to have to build my own natural energy source. So what did I do? Well, I did a little more tedious research. I did what everybody does these days, I asked Google. After hours of searching for phrases like “how to make your own energy” and “how to build a wind turbine” I was left very irritable and discouraged. I found that manually researching something like this was not only tedious but also unreliable.

That is until I came across a little hidden gem…

3) The All Powerful Guide

Truth be told I did waste many hours researching only to be left with garbage. But I did gain a very valuable tool that helped me successfully build my own green energy source. I came a across a DIY homemade natural power guide. In it I found every single piece of information that I needed to build my own natural power system. It was filled to the brim with detailed diagrams, pictures, schematics, secret tips, you name it. It was all there.

And guess what? I was able to build my own natural power system in just two days. Want to know how much it cost me? The total cost of everything was less than $200! This isn’t cheap but it sure beats paying $20,000 for a professionally installed green energy source. The best part is that I payed off the initial costs within a month, and am now saving hundreds of dollars every month.

You CAN make your own green energy source. All you need is the right resources. If you believe in yourself and you believe in saving money on your energy bill every month, then I highly recommend you click the link below. You will learn about the specific DIY green energy guide that I used. Why spend dozens of hours on tedious research when all you need is right in front of you?
